The absorbent pads for petroleum and petroleum products are manufactured using Brazilian fiber-entanglement technology, from 100% virgin polypropylene microfilaments. The material works through selective physical interaction, absorbing hydrocarbons without undergoing chemical reactions during absorption.

They are suitable for oils, greases, fuels such as diesel, gasoline and kerosene, lubricants and other petroleum products. Because they are hydrophobic, they repel water, absorb only oils and petroleum products and maintain constant buoyancy even when saturated.

They can be applied directly to spills, used as a protective lining or on surfaces with oil floating on water, such as rivers, lakes, the sea, ports, terminals and marinas.
